STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION
The slide is used to transfer press forces from the vertical to a working direction required in the mould. The cams are available in standard angles from 0° to 75° in 5° increments. The cam carriage (green) is guided in the slide holder (yellow). The driver (red) determines the direction of action. The slide body has a working surface for the tool holder (punch, cutting blade, jaws, etc.). For greater power transmission, the ram stroke is greater than the working slide stroke. The paths in the cam result in a slide diagram, which can also be found in the CAD data.
MAIN COMPONENTS AND INSTALLATION SITUATION IN THE MOULD
In order to transfer the working forces optimally, the forces FH1 and FH2 as well as at the driver and slider mounting bracket in the mould must be dissipated.
LOCK-OUT SYSTEM
The patented SN5654 lock-out system, which is fitted to the entire range of cams, makes it possible to lock the respective cams during machining. This eliminates the defined guide play and enables precise machining in narrow tolerance ranges.
EFFECT OF CHANGES IN POSITIONS
Use our posters to calculate the effect of changes to the contact position of the driver or the cam contact surface.
